CBRE announced today that it had brokered the lease contract for Lush Japan Co., Ltd.'s (hereinafter "Lush Japan") new flagship store in Shinjuku, the British natural cosmetic brand's largest store in Asia.
In March 2016, Lush Japan contracted CBRE to provide brokerage services for the lease of their new Shinjuku store. CBRE recommended the first four floors of the Shinjuku FF Building located by the Central East Exit of JR Shinjuku Station, the world's busiest station in terms of passenger throughput.
"As the first flagship store in Japan, it was vital that the space was optimal for the local market and one-of-a-kind, all while staying true to the global brand," said Osamu Watanabe (Senior Manager, Head of Property, Lush Japan) who oversaw the project. "CBRE was the one who recommended the Shinjuku property for our flagship store. Thanks to CBRE's support, we have succeeded in creating a store in this cosmopolitan city that can be showcased to a global audience."
Masashi Okumura (Senior Director, Retail Services, Advisory & Transaction Services, CBRE) also commented, "It was a great privilege to assist Lush with the opening of their largest flagship store in Asia. Initially we only had a limited number of available locations. We proactively approached property owners to obtain information about potential spaces that were not yet on the market. This effort led us to identifying and recommending the Shinjuku FF Building, the best property for Lush's new flagship store. With this additional experience, we strive to continue to offer valuable services that help our clients successfully expand their business and achieve great outcomes."
