CBRE Publishes “Workplace for Well-being: How to Create a Healthy and Productive Workplace” White Paper

Report looks at how a workplace can foster employee well-being

CBRE (Japan headquarters: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce that it has collaborated with Panasonic Corporation’s Electric Works Company to develop a white paper titled, “Workplace for Well-being: How to Create a Healthy and Productive Workplace”, which was published today on “PROPERTY SEARCH”, CBRE’s commercial real estate portal site.

The COVID-19 pandemic has diversified working styles and corporate value systems, and has highlighted the importance of worker health and welfare. This is particularly evident in the field of workplace creation. It is now common understanding that a workplace environment contributes to the maintenance of employees’ physical, psychological, and social health well-being, and that these factors can have significant impact on individual and company performance.

Based on the 10 key concepts of the WELL Building Standards (office facilities: (1) Air, (2) Water, (3) Sound, (4) Light, (5) Materials, (6) Thermal Comfort; operational concepts: (7) Nourishment, (8) Movement, (9) Community, and (10) Mind), the white paper explains how to create workplaces that foster worker well-being, and provides practical examples that can be immediately implemented.
