The Seller originally acquired the land with existing structures in 2016, with CBRE’s support, as part of a development project. After demolishing the existing building, the Seller developed the Property as a new retail building and successfully attracted tenants. For the execution of this Transaction, the Seller once again engaged CBRE, recognizing its ability to leverage an extensive network to approach a diverse pool of potential buyers and to formulate an appropriate pricing strategy based on in-depth market and local analysis.
During the marketing process, CBRE identified Tokyo Trust Capital as a prospective buyer and supported its acquisition review. Specifically, CBRE’s Osaka Retail Leasing and Consulting teams worked together to provide Tokyo Trust Capital with detailed analysis of the Shinsaibashi-suji retail market and future trends, highlighting the Property’s competitive advantages. This professional advice enabled Tokyo Trust Capital to make an informed decision to proceed with the purchase. Drawing on its deep expertise and experience, CBRE ensured the smooth completion of the Transaction.
This Transaction represents one of the largest retail building deals on Shinsaibashi-suji not only in 2025 but also since the COVID-19 pandemic. It is regarded as a landmark deal symbolizing the recovery of the local market, driven by inbound tourism and the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
